DC.gov: Website Redesign
Creating a new home for Washingtonians with a clean, modern look and accessible design
As part of my work at Taoti, I co-led the redesign of DC.gov, helping shape a modern, accessible digital experience built for all Washingtonians.
The District’s goal was ambitious: unify the digital presence of a multitude of independent agencies under a single, user-friendly platform—one that’s easy to navigate, visually engaging, and reflective of the communities it serves. We delivered a flexible design system that pairs playful, dynamic shapes with clean, intuitive interfaces, striking a balance between functionality and personality.
My role focused on refining the visual language—selecting type that feels both professional and welcoming, optimizing a bold yet accessible color palette, and introducing a flexible brand system built on abstract geometry. Designed with scalability in mind, the system empowers agencies to customize while still aligning with a cohesive city-wide identity.
The result is more than a website—it’s the foundation for a unified visual brand across the DC government, built to grow, adapt, and serve.
